On Thursday evening, December 12th, Saint John the Apostle School continued its beloved tradition of the annual Christmas Concert. The evening brought together students, families, and faculty for a meaningful celebration of the season in the church.
The concert opened with the Schola choir contributing beautiful harmonies to set the festive tone. Following this, each grade level, K-5, processed individually to the altar to perform cherished Christmas carols and hymns. Students from the upper grades read scripture passages, reflecting on the Advent season and the journey of the Holy Family.
The highlight of the evening was the grand finale. Students in grades 3-5 sang a moving rendition of Dominica Magnificat, which honors the legacy of the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell. Then all the students—down to the littlest kindergarteners—filled the aisles. Together with the congregation, they sang Silent Night.
A special thank you goes to Miss Diana Sierra, our beloved music teacher, for her leadership and dedication in preparing the students for this special night. We also extend our gratitude to Miss Mayling for her beautiful accompaniment on the piano and to Maya Czarnota, 7th grader, for her violin performance that added grace to the evening's music.
This treasured event reminded our school community of the true meaning of Christmas: celebrating the birth of Jesus and the love and joy He brings into our lives. Thank you to the faculty and staff for their time and efforts to make this evening so special.
