We are thrilled to announce a new and transformative chapter at St. John the Apostle School. This academic year, we are embarking on an exciting journey to build thinking classrooms, inspired by Peter Liljadahl's innovative approach.
Imagine a classroom where students are on their feet, actively engaging in lively discussions, collaborating and problem-solving together. Visualize an environment where curiosity thrives, and every question sparks a new exploration. This vision is at the core of our thinking classrooms initiative.
To kickstart this framework, our dedicated teachers participated in a comprehensive 6-hour training session in October. Led by an expert well-versed in Peter Liljadahl's teaching methodology, this training empowered our educators to create classrooms where critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration are not just encouraged but celebrated.
In alignment with this exciting venture, our Math Lab has transformed. Thanks to generous grant funding, we have introduced flexible seating arrangements and innovative whiteboard tables. These changes are not just physical enhancements; they represent our commitment to interactive learning and active student engagement.
Our goal is to equip our students with essential life skills – problem-solving, creativity, and adaptability. In the spirit of our Catholic faith, we believe in inspiring curious minds and empowering our students to face challenges with confidence and grace. Join us in this exciting venture, and together, let's make this school year a beacon of learning, curiosity, and endless possibilities.
