On Friday, March 21st, and Saturday, March 22nd, Saint John the Apostle School proudly presented its spring production of High School Musical Jr. in the Sr. Donna Marie Auditorium. From singing and dancing to set design and lights, this show was a true team effort and a shining example of our school spirit and student talent.
Auditions for students in grades 5 through 8 were held back in November, and the cast was selected with the help of Mrs. Figueroa, Mrs. Luna, and Mrs. Osnato. Students brought the beloved characters to life on stage, while the behind-the-scenes crew worked tirelessly to create a fun and vibrant set. The 8th grade class, guided by our art teacher, Mr. Dupuis, painted the stage backdrop.
The technology club took the lead in live streaming the performances, making it possible for friends and family near and far to enjoy the show. Students helped manage sound and lighting under the guidance of Mr. Heyder, Mr. Weiss, and Mr. O'Dell, gaining hands-on experience in stage production. Mrs. Chrobak oversaw the concession stand, where students assisted in snack and refreshment sales to guests.
Mrs. Figueroa, with the support of Mrs. Luna, dedicated countless days and hours to bringing this cherished school tradition back to life after a long hiatus—and their hard work truly paid off! The entire school community gathered for the Friday morning dress rehearsal, while Friday and Saturday evening performances had families and friends clapping, singing along, and cheering for our talented cast and crew.
Congratulations to everyone who played a part in making High School Musical Jr. such a memorable event!
